[1] Australia’s largest telecommunications company Telstra has confirmed that it is in discussions with cable operator and telecommunications provider Pacnet for potential acquisition.
[2] Telstra aims to acquire Pacnet’s 46,500 km of submarine cable that it owns between the US and Asia.
[3] It plans to push into Asia market and expand its business in the region, in addition to growing its subsea international cable operations.
