[1] A/NZ telcos are set to build a 2300 kilometre undersea cable system that will connect Australia and New Zealand across the Tasman Sea.
[2] Telstra, Vodafone and Spark New Zealand Cables have come together to invest $86.3 million in the Tasman Global Access (TGA) system, which will be laid by Alcatel-Lucent.
[3] The system, that will be complete in mid-2016, will have a capacity of 20Tbps, and will cater for the increasing demand of data and network connectivity in Australia.
