[1] Australian giant telco, Telstra, has announced that it will hand over ownership of its copper and hybrid fiber-coaxial networks in a new $11 billion deal with NBN Co.
[2] The deal will see Telstra NBN Co continue to pay Telstra $4 billion in disconnection payments, $5 billion in infrastructure payments, and $2 billion in Commonwealth agreements.
[3] NBN Co will not only assume ownership of the copper and hybrid fiber-coaxial networks, but also manage its operations and maintenance.
