Australian sites vulnerable to new POODLE attack

[1] A new variant of the vulnerability in SSL’s third version (secure sockets layer) web encryption protocol, dubbed “POODLE”, has been discovered by researchers, making Australian sites vulnerable to attacks.

[2] Security experts have found out that moving to Transport Layer Security (TLS) alone was not sufficient to make the websites secure.

[3] Two National Australia Bank’s, such as Commbank and Westpac, have moved in fast to patch the flaw and testing their sites against the POODLE attack.
