[1] Customers of Westpac, an Australian bank and financial-services provider, will from January 2015 start using a new fingerprint sign-in technology on their Apple and Samsung devices to access their accounts.
[2] Customers will use the new fingerprint sensor, called Touch ID, to securely access the Westpac banking system ‘Westpac Live’ on iPhone, Samsung Galaxy S5 and Note 4 devices.
[3] The fingerprint technology follows the launch of Westpac’s new banking platform, Westpac Live, that offers more services and integrate seamlessly with mobile platforms.
