Apple Australia loses fight to have ‘App Store’ trademarked

[1] Apple Australia has lost a case to have the ‘App Store trademarked.

[2] Apple had been embroiled in a claim trademark ownership suit where it sued the Australian Registrar of Trademarks following its refusal to Apples applications.

[3] Justice Yates of the Sydney Federal Court ruled out Apples’ application arguing that the term was not specifically associated with Apple’s offerings.
