[1] Telstra has made an exploratory in Queensland as they fly 20 high-altitude balloons.
[2] The balloon project used solar-powered balloons with a span of 15 metres in diameter and carry 10kg of kit which can operate 20km above the earth’s surface to create a wireless network speeds equivalent to 3G networks.
[3] The balloon project is a trial to test if there is reliable internet connectivity with Telstra’s infrastructure in the area.
