Sport and reality lead the way in first Nielsen Twitter study into TV-generated tweets

[1] Nielsen in partnership with Twitter has announced that almost 100million people have viewed tweets about Australian TV shows in October.

[2] This is the first measurement of social TV conversations on Twitter with the data analysis by Nielson showing that the 1.2 million tweets were sent out, that created 97 million impressions.

[3] Nielsen has reiterated that social media conversation helps to drive TV audience, and plans to expand the studies to get information about which products people are tweeting about.
