Telstra to provide private cloud services

[1] Australian giant telco, Telstra, is set to provide dedicated private computing cloud services to the enterprise community.

[2] The services will be offered as a ready software and hardware package that uses Vblocks, Cisco servers and networking equipment, and VMware virtualization software.

[3] The move is part of Telstra’s strategy to cater for applications that could not be incorporated into a true cloud environment in shared IT infrastructure.
