Drupal saves government costs, time

[1] The federal government of Australia is expected to have saved 50% in savings from adapting the open-source software and Amazon Web Services’ cloud computing platform.

[2] The first public site to use the govCMS was Australia.gov.au which caters almost 2 million visitors per month is now based on the Drupal open-source platform

[3] According to John Sheridan, the government’s chief technology officer, savings were realized only after doing the move to Drupal and Acquia.
