Government requesting for more Facebook data

[1] Governments across the globe, including Australia, are requesting for more user information from the social media giant Facebook.

[2] There is a significant increase in the amount of data requested in the first half of 2014 than the same period last year, with the information majorly meant for criminal cases.

[3] Australia, in particular, has made a total of 610 requests affecting 650 users for the first half of 2014.
