A solar car built by Australian students has broken the electric  vehicle world speed record

  1. Solar car eVe is officially recognized as the world’s fastest electric vehicle because of its speed of 106.966 km/hr speed.
  2. eVe was assembled by solar car racing team, Sunswift, who are all undergraduate engineering students from the University of New South Wales (UNSW).
  3. The team is currently customizing eVe to comply with Australia’s road registration requirements as well as to make it even faster and more viable.
